Yolanda Fonseca entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 25, 2013 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. She was raised in New York City and resided in Union City before moving to Woodbridge Township 25 years ago. Mrs. Fonseca was employed with the Franciscan Friars in Union City. She was a communicant of Saint James Catholic Church in Woodbridge. Mrs. Fonseca was predeceased by her husband, Edwin Fonseca, in 1988. She is survived by a daughter, Carol Cashin, of Chatsforth, PA; two sons, Edward Fonseca of San Francisco, CA and Joseph Fonseca of Woodbridge; a sister, Rose Sahaya, of Kinnelon; and two grandchildren. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. from the Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue in Woodbridge. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at 9:30 a.m. at Saint James Church, Woodbridge. Interment will be in Madonna Cemetery, Fort Lee. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
