William Anthony Poulsen passed away at the age of 36 on September 17, 2019 at his home in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township after a long struggle with addiction.

Billy was a kind soul with a big heart. He was known for his quick wit, with a hint of sarcasm and could always put a smile on your face. Even through his own personal struggles, he tried his best to help others.

Billy is survived by his loving mother, Elizabeth; father, William; sisters, Marybeth and Kaitlin; and nephew, Tristan

Funeral services will be on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at 10:15 a.m. from Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. A Mass of Resurrection will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Andrew Catholic Church, Avenel. Cremation will private. Visitation for family and friends will be on Monday evening from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

One of Billy's favorite quotes was "Every great dream begins with a dreamer" by Harriet Tubman.
