William P. "Billy" Kogut passed away at home on Thursday, November 25, 2021. He was 38 years old.
Born in Edison, NJ; He was a lifelong resident of Woodbridge Township.
Billy was a 2001 graduate of Woodbridge High School and was member of The Woodbridge Exempt Fireman's association. He was previously employed with Almasi Trucking, The Woodbridge Fire Department and most recently as a project manager with Atlantic Realty in Woodbridge.
He found happiness at the family cabin in the Adirondacks, NY. It was where he had many childhood memories of spending weekends and summer vacations. It was the place that the he had many fond memories of his parents and also where he found peace whenever he was there. He was also an avid fisherman and loved the many fishing trips he took to Montague, NY over the years.
Billy will be missed by so many. He was always the friend checking on others making sure they were okay. He loved his nieces and nephews and was always teasing them calling them "punk" or making fun of their hairstyle. We all hope he has finally found peace and is in the arms of his parents he missed so much.
He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Joanne Kogut, both his maternal and paternal grandparents as well his Aunt Virginia and Uncle Sam Marsicano.
He is survived by his brother Joseph W. Kogut , his sister Jaclyn Orellana and her husband Omar, his loving nieces and nephews, Alixandria, Ryan,Emma,Brian and Evan ; his Aunt who was like a second mom Catherine Rysinski, his Uncle William Johnson and his wife Betsy, his Uncle Alexander Dudas. As well as the many cousins and friends he called family in his life.
The Visiting hours will be Friday, December 3, 2021 from 4:00 pm until 7:30 pm at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. A Prayer service follow at 7:30 pm. Cremation will be private.
