William J. Budd of the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital at Rahway. He was 73 years old.

Born in Jersey City, NJ; He resided in Avenel for the past 48 years.

Mr. Budd was a United States Navy Veteran serving during The Cuban Missile Crisis and Bay of Pigs era.

He was employed as a equipment installer with NJ Bell, A T & T, Lucent and Avaya for 36 years retiring in 2000.

He was a Communicant of St. Andrew's R.C. Church in Avenel, and a Member of The St. Andrew's Knights of Columbus Council #5088 in Avenel.

He was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth Kenny Budd who passed away in 2008; his parents William and Grace Mahler Budd.

He is survived by three sons William Budd and his wife Michelle of Union Beach, Edward Budd of the State of Washington, and Steve Budd and his wife Lynn of Manville; a sister Grace Haake of Hawaii; and Six Grandchildren.

Funeral will be on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 8:45 a.m. from Costello-Koyen Funeral Home 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. A 9:30 a.m. Funeral Liturgy will take place at St. Andrews R.C. Church, Avenel Interment will be in St. Gertrude's Cemetery, Colonia. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
