Werner Paul Grohens passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge Division. He was 87 years old. He was born in Germany and resided in Edison before moving to Spotswood in 2010. Mr. Grohens was employed as service manager with Koplan Pontiac in Elizabeth for many years until 1980; and then owned and operated E&W Cleaning Service until his retirement 10 years ago. He was a United States Army veteran. Mr. Grohens was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth A. Grohens, in 2006; and two sons, Wayne and Paul Grohens. Surviving are a daughter, Mary Pennett, of Spotswood; a son, Werner Grohens, of Edison; eight grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. There will be a funeral service on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at 8:45 p.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. Cremation will be private Visitation will be on Thursday beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
