Walter Kowalsky passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2023 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.  He was 86 years old.

Born on October 22, 1936 to the late Susan and Walter Kowalsky in Newark, he has resided in the Colonia section of Woodbridge Township since 1972.

Mr. Kowalsky owned and operated several Gasoline Stations in the Hillside area; and was a communicant of Saint John Vianney Catholic Church in Colonia.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Sarah Kowalsky; daughter, Joann Welch of Colonia; grandchildren, Vincent and Michael Welch; and son, Walter Kowalsky, Jr., of Hoboken.

A Prayer service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at The Garden Mausoleum at St. Gertrude's Cemetery, 53 Inman Avenue, Colonia.
