Walter G. Jacobs passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at his home in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township. He was 80 years old.

He was born in Avenel and resided there and in California before returning to Avenel in 1996.

Walter received his Doctoral Degree and was employed as a ceramic engineer by International Business Machines until retiring in 1993.

He was a communicant of Saint Andrew Catholic Church in Avenel; and was a 3 ^rd degree member of Saint Andrew Council 5088, Knights of Columbus in Avenel and 4 ^th degree member of Rev. John J. Griffith General Assembly #857.

Walter was predeceased by his parents, John Jacobs, in 1980 and Helen Witkowsy Jacobs, in 1998; and sister, Beverly Ann Russi, in 1979.

Surviving are his children, Jeanne Sadler, Jannet Chavez and Janice O'Deegan; and grandchildren, Ailish and Kyle.

A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. at Saint Andrew Catholic Church, Avenel under the direction of Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, Avenel. Cremation will be private.
