Obituary

Waldina Murray passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 17, 2020 at Center for Hope Hospice in Scotch Plains. She was 92 years old.

Born and raised in Staunton, IL; she has resided in the Colonia section of Woodbridge Township for most of her life.

Mrs. Murray, also know lovingly as "Tootsie", was a hairdresser in the Colonia area for many years. She loved sewing, baking her famous apple pies, knitting club, bowling nights, yearly trips to Sunny Isles Beach, Florida with the Blue Mist Club, and most of all taking care of and spending time with her "Prince" of a grandson Logan Chance.

She was a communicant of Saint John Vianney Catholic Church in Colonia and a member of Post 6061, Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary, Colonia.

She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Raymond Murray, in 2018; parents, Walter and Bonita Berkel; and sister, Jeannette Henke.

She is survived by her daughter, Melody Olsen, and her husband, Brian, of Clark; grandson, Logan Olsen; and brother, Donald Dubbledee, of Washington.

Private funeral services were held under the direction of Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, Woodbridge. Interment was in Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
