Vito Monteleone passed away on Friday, May 7, 2021 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was 93 years old. Josephine J. Monteleone, his loving wife of 60 years, passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 also at JFK Medical Center. She was 93 years old.

Josephine was born in Newark and was a lifelong resident of the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township. Vito was born in Palermo, Sicily and has resided in Avenel for 58 years.

Mr. Monteleone was employed as a machinist with Premier Die Cast in Avenel for 40 years prior to his retirement.

They were communicants of Saint Andrew Catholic Church in Avenel; and belonged to Woodbridge Senior Billiards Club.

Surviving are their sons, Joseph Monteleone and his wife, Diane, of Lakewood, Sal Monteleone and his wife, Christine, of Old Bridge and Vito Monteleone and his wife, Angelina, of Jackson; and eight loving grandchildren.

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. from Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. A  Mass of Resurrection will follow at 9:30 a.m. at Saint Andrew Catholic Church in Avenel. Entombment will be in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Woodbridge. Visitation will be on Wednesday evening from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
