Virginia "Ginger" Roth passed away on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Complete Care, Phillipsburg Center. She was 78 years old.

Born on December 11, 1942 in Brooklyn, NY, she resided in the Iselin section of Woodbridge Township and in Florida before moving to Belvidere several years ago.

Mrs. Roth was employed as a boarding agent with Maersk Shipping in Madison for many years before her retirement in 2004; and belonged to the ladies auxiliary of the Sewaren Anglers Boat Club.

She was predeceased by her parents, Catherine and James J. Carney; and brother, Robert Carney.

Surviving are her husband of 33 years, Gregory Roth; children, Catherine Grunsfeld of Holmdel, Pattie Clark of Toms River, James Roth of Warren, Matthew Roth of Asbury, Christine Scipione of Staten Island, NY and Carol Ficarra of Harmony; and grandchildren, Brittany, Ryan, Sean, Christopher, Matthew, Carly, Madeliene, Jaxson, Gabrielle, Thomas, Joseph, Kaleigh and Alex.

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at 9:45 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. A Mass of Resurrection will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Saint James Catholic Church, Woodbridge. Entombment will be at Saint Gertrude Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be on Monday evening from 3:00 pm. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
