Virginia Mencor entered into eternal life on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Bridgeway Care and Rehabilitation Center in Hillsborough. She was 93 years old.

She was born on August 26, 1923 in Newark.

Mrs. Mencor was employed as a bookkeeper with Rodgers Clothes in Elizabeth and Union Carbide Corporation in Newark prior to her retirement.

She was predeceased by her husband, Nicholas Mencor; and two sons, Robert and Nicholas Mencor, Jr.

Funeral services will be on Monday, March 27, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. from Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. A Mass of Resurrection will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Andrew Catholic Church, Avenel. Cremation will be private. Visitation for friends and family will be on Monday morning beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
