Violet A. Reimer passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway. She was 95 years old. Born in Elizabeth, she has resided in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township for the past 52 years. Mrs. Reimer was a communicant of Saint Andrew Catholic Church in Avenel. She was predeceased by her husband, Felix Reimer, in 2000; two sons, Philip Reimer, Sr. in 2010 and Robert Reimer in 1945; and two sisters, Marie Schroeder and Joan Iveson. Surviving are a son, Carl Reimer, of Avenel; two grandsons, Philip Reimer, Jr. and his wife, Sara, of Cherry Hill and Anthony Reimer and his wife, Jodi, of Mountainside; a daughter in law, Mary Reimer, of Rahway; a sister, Florence Picaro, of Waretown; and four great grandchildren, Maggie, Philip III, Anna and Alexandra. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. at Saint Andrew Catholic Church, Avenel under the direction of Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel Street, Avenel.
