Vincent Joseph Pestkowski passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2025 at his home in Metuchen.  He was 96 years old.

Born in Bayonne, he resided in Woodbridge and Toms River before moving to Metuchen 6 years ago.

Mr. Pestkowski was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War.

He was employed as a driver and salesman for Bond Bread Baking Company for 25 years until  and then with Wonder Bread and Lance Products, retiring from Hunt-Wesson in 1998.

He was a communicant of Saint Francis Cathedral in Metuchen and a 3rd degree member of Knights of Columbus Council #371, Bayonne and was an Avid Bowler.

He was predeceased by his wife, Irene Mary Pestkowski, in 1990; parents, Zymund and Bertha Sowinski Pestkowski; and sisters, Lorraine Bratkowski and Alfreda Bilak.

He is survived by his daughter Geralyn Zamorski and her fiancé, Eric Wiemer, of Metuchen; son, David Gerard Pestkowski and his wife, Jane, of Point Pleasant Beach; grandson, Joseph Pestkowski; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will take place on Monday, July 28, 2025 9:45 am from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge, NJ. A 10:15 am Memorial Mass will follow at St. Francis R.C. Church, Metuchen. The inurnment will follow at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens. Visitation for family and friends will be on Monday beginning at 8:45 a.m. at the funeral home.
