Victor Garofalo passed away on Monday, March 17, 2025 at Calvary Hospital in the Bronz, NY. He was 98 years old.

Born in Ecuador on December 11, 1926 to the late Rosa and Nicolas Garofalo, he has resided in the Bronx since 1994.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served as a Bishop and as a Patriarch in Guayaquil, Ecuador.

Mr. Garofalo worked for many years as a bartender and Office assistant.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Luz Garofalo, in 2016.

Surviving are his daughters, Corina Harten of Avenel NJ, Eleana Garofalo of Avenel NJ, Priscila Garofalo-Ifko of Piscataway NJ, Rosa Garofalo of Beacon NY, his son, Laureano Garofalo of the Bronx NY, and seven grandchildren (Alan, William, David, Daniel, Valerie, Alexis, and Andres).

Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, March 20, 2025 beginning at 10:00 a.m. Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
