Thomas V. Sciarra of the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center. He was 84 years old. Born in Hoboken, NJ; He resided in Carteret and Woodbridge most of his life. Mr. Sciarra was employed as a fork lift operator with Kings Way Transport in Hoboken for 30 years retiring in 1991. He was a member of The Maple Tree Manor Senior Citizens. He was predeceased by his parents Daniel and Maria Ferrgazzi Sciarra; a son John Sciarra; a grandson Butch Schnorrbusch; two sisters Gussie Sciarra, and Nancy Sciarra; three brothers Johnny Sciarra, Jimyy Sciarra, and Tony Sciarra. He is survived by two daughters Linda Sciarra of Millstone Township, and Doris Cistrelli of Rahway; a son Thomas Sciarra of Milltown; a sister Jenny Mets of Toms River; three brothers Michael Sciarra of Pompton Plains, Marco Sciarra of Hoboken, and Daniel Sciarra of Lodi, NJ; five grandchildren; and his former wife Norma Sciarri. Funeral will take place Tuesday 10:30 AM at COSTELLO-GREINER FUNERAL HOME (www.Costello-greiner.com) 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue, Woodbridge. Entombment will be in St. Gertrude's Cemetery, Colonia. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 9:00 am until 10:30 am.
