Thomas J. Mooney Jr. passed away peacefully on January 4th 2024. He was 80 years old.

Born in Perth Amboy on June 2nd 1943 to the late Thomas J. and Rose Fedeyko Mooney, he resided there for most of his life.

Mr. Mooney graduated from St. Mary's High School, Perth Amboy, Class of 1961; and served in the United States Army from 1968 to 1970.

He retired after a 43 year career as a Federal Employee of the East Brunswick Post Office; where he served as shop steward.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald M. Mooney, in 2015.

He is survived by his sons, Thomas J. Mooney III and his wife, Sharon, James M. Mooney and his wife, Stephanie; grandsons, Sean, Colin, James and Luke Mooney; former wife Maryann K. Mooney; and many loving cousins and friends.

Funeral services were held under the direction of Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, Woodbridge.
