Theresa Serer Ricotta passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at JFK Hartwyck at Edison Estates Nursing Center in Edison. She was 85 years old. Born in Wilmington, DE, she has resided in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township for the past 53 years. Mrs. Ricotta was employed as a telephone operator with Bell Atlantic for many years. She was a communicant of Saint Andrew Catholic Church in Avenel. Mrs. Ricotta was predeceased by her husband, Peter J. Ricotta, in 2002; a daughter, Debra Piperato, in 1993; and a sister, Rose Rispoli. Surviving are a son, Michael Ricotta, of Idaho; four grandchildren, Chastity Fox-Castello, Christine Piperato, Theresa Piperato and Richard Piperato, Jr.; and two great grandchildren, Gabriella and Gregory Castello, Jr.
