Teresa Gonzalez of Plainfield passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. She was 83 years old.

Born in San Salvador, El Salvador, she resided in Avenel before moving to Plainfield 14 years ago.

She was a communicant of Saint Andrew Catholic Church in Avenel.

Mrs. Gonzalez was predeceased by her husband, Andres Gonzalez; her children, Alba Figueroa and Julio Gonzalez; and her parents, Pedro and Julia Beltran Gonzalez.

She is survived by her daughters, Ana Hernandez of Plainfield and Amadada Solano of El Salvador; and a niece Blanca Battras.

Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue, Woodbridge. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Andrew Catholic Church, Avenel. Interment will be in Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
