Susan Lorraine Mazurek tragically lost her life on Friday, January 3, 2020. She was 44 years old.

Born in Edison, she resided in Avenel for most of her life before moving to Middlesex 13 years ago.

Susan was a beautiful soul. Even though Susan faced many challenges in life with her own disabilities she never let that stop her. She always had a smile and was proud of who she was. She also fought for others with disabilities.

Susan was a 1993 graduate of Woodbridge High School and was employed at the Edison Sheltered Work Shop.

She was predeceased by her mother, Darlene Flowers, in 2015.

She is survived by her father, Michael Mazurek, of Avenel; brother, Robert Petrick, of Perth Amboy; sisters, Barbara Jefferson of Iselin and Lauren Jackson of Perth Amboy; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Friday, January 10, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue, Woodbridge. Cremation will be private.
