Steven R. Kuchie passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway. He was 72 years old.

Born in Perth Amboy, he has resided in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township for 50 years.

Mr. Kuchie was employed as a chemical operator Mobile Chemical Company in Edison for 35 years before retiring in 2001.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Dianne, in 1999; a son, Richard Bines; and a brother, Frank Kuchie.

Surviving are his wife, Lucy; children, Jillian Shinski and her husband, Kenneth, of Avenel, Thomas Ruffini and his fiancée, Lisa, of Virginia, Daniel Ruffini and his wife, Diana, of East Windsor and William Ruffini and his wife, Josephine, of Colonia; his mother Alice Nemeth of Marlboro; step children, Aurora and Alessandro; seven grandchildren; and a great grandchild.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Costello-Koyen Funeral Home (www. costello-koyen.com) 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. Interment will follow in Clover Leaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge. Visitation will be on Friday, April 29, 2016 from 2:00 until 4:00 and 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
