Obituary

Steve Tsoukatos, 86, of Perth Amboy passed away peacefully on March 28, 2021 at his daughter Irene's residence surrounded by his family. Steve was an amazing and selfless husband, grandfather, brother, friend, and more.

Steve was born on December 10, 1934 in Greece. He married his wife, Eugenia Panagos, in 1963 in Cornwall, New York after coming to the United States from Pragmateftis, Greece. Steve traveled to many places throughout his life including Canada and Australia.

He was very hard working in the hospitality industry as a chef at Seven Arches and Victorian Manor. He also owned The Coney Island on Smith Street in Perth Amboy with his two brothers in law, Michael and Nick Panagos. Besides his strong work ethic at the restaurants, he was also passionate about his garden in his backyard. He had a plethora of fruits and vegetables such as figs, grapes, tomatoes, cucumbers, and many more. His grandchildren will remember him always coming to their house with bags of fresh fruits and vegetables for them.

Steve will be remembered and missed by his daughters, Irene of Scotch Plains and her husband, Craig, and Andrea of Perth Amboy; son, Ted, of Toms River; and grandchildren, Daniella and Steven of Scotch Plains.

Steve is predeceased by his wife, Eugenia; parents, Theodore and Irene; brother, George; sister in law, Helen; and brother in law, George.

A private graveside service was held at Alpine Cemetery on Wednesday, March 31st 2021.

In lieu of flowers contributions to the Alzheimer's Association in Steve's memory would be greatly appreciated by his family.
