Stephen J. Hutter died on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at his home in Edison. He was 70 years old. Born in Elizabeth to William and Roseanna Hutter, he was the brother of William and James Hutter. He then resided in Rahway and Avenel before moving to Edison 10 years ago. He was employed as a guard with Burns Security in Moonachie for 20 years before his retirement in 1992. Mr. Hutter was predeceased by his wife, Caroline Skrzyniarz Hutter, in 1988. Surviving are a daughter, Christina Genz, of Winfield Park; two sons, Stephen J. Hutter, Jr. and Jeffrey Hutter, both of Edison; and three grandchildren, Tyriq, Ajaan and Malachi. The funeral will take place on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. Interment will follow in Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation will be on Friday from 2:00 until 4:00 and 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
