Stephen F. Coyle passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at his home in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township. He was 71 years old. Born in Paterson, he has resided in Avenel for the past 44 years. Mr. Coyle was employed as an electrician with Merck and Company in Rahway for 37 years before retiring in 2004; and was a United States Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Elizabeth Beatty Coyle; a daughter, Debra Cook and her husband, Robert, of Clayton, NC; a son, Stephen P. Coyle and his wife, Brenda, of Brick; a sister, Jeanne Gulardo, of Clifton; and three grandchildren, Ryan Coyle, Ashley Cook and Sierra Cook. There will be a funeral service on Friday, July 31, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. at the Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel Street, Avenel, NJ 07001. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be on Friday beginning at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
