Obituary

Stella Mastandrea of Toms River passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold. She was 94 years old.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she resided in Jersey City before moving to Toms River 35 years ago.

Mrs. Mastandrea was employed at Western Electric Kearney for 20 years before retiring in 1982.

She was predeceased by her husband, Louis Mastandrea, in 1986; her parents, Charles and Minnie LaForte Sciscione; sisters, Mary DiVizio and Louise Hudson; brothers, Jimmy, Paul, and John Sciscione and Frank Sanders; sisters in law, Amila Cooper and Mary Furtek; and brothers in law, Frank and Harry Mastandrea.

She is survived by two daughters Linda Jennings and her husband William of Port Reading, and Gail Caffrey and her husband John of Jackson; sister in law, Laura Trost; five grandchildren, Dana Mercier, Keith Schriver, Jaclyn Caffrey, Danielle Caffrey and Michael Caffrey; and a great-grandson, John Mercier.

Funeral will take place Wednesday 9:45 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home 44 Green Street at Baron Avenue, Woodbridge. A 10:30 a.m. at St. James R.C. Church, Amboy Avenue, Woodbridge. Entombment will be in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens.

Visiting hours will be on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
