Stella J. Kopytko of the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township passed away on Friday, March 28, 2014 at Bridgeway Health Care in Hillsborough. She was 95 years old. Born in Elizabeth, she has resided in Avenel since 1950. She was an active member at the Avenel Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #7164 for many years. Mrs. Kopytko was a Communicant of St. Andrew R.C. Church in Avenel. She was predeceased by her husband, Valentine C. Kopytko, in 1992; six sisters Mary, Anna, Adele, Francis, Lillian and Jenny; and two brothers Fred and Edward. She is survived by three daughters Christine Anne, Carole Lee and Joan Frances. A funeral Liturgy will take place on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Andrew R.C. Church, North Madison Avenue, Avenel. Interment will be in St. Gertrude's Cemetery, Colonia. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel Street, Avenel.
