Stanley J. Zglobicki of the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2023 at home.  He was 87 years old.

Born in New York City, he resided in Elizabeth before moving to Avenel 64 years ago.

Mr. Zglobicki was a United States Marine Corp Veteran.

He was employed as a Warehouse Manager/Inventory Control Specialist with Reichhold Chemical Company for 28 years until 1987 and then was employed with the Woodbridge Township Road Department for 11 years before retiring in 1998.

Stanley was an avid golfer and football fan.  He belonged to the Tamarack Golf Association where he had two hole-in-ones on the course.  He also loved old movies ('pictures' as he would call them) and enjoyed traveling, especially Hawaii and many golf trips to Hilton Head.

He was predeceased by his parents Louie and Josephine Szurley Zglobicki; a twin brother Eddie; his sister Sophie Wnek; and his mother-in-law Gilda Drost.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years Jean Drost Zglobicki; daughter Kim Early and her husband, Bill, of Shark River Hills; son Jeffrey Zglobicki of Avenel; daughter Karen Zglobicki of Avenel; granddaughter Erin Royston and her husband, Steve, of Shark River Hills; grandson Connor Early and his wife, Sarah, of Shrewsbury; great-granddaughter Maeve Early; and niece, Diane Bodzioch, of Colonia.

A Prayer service will take place Friday, January 20, 2023 5:30 pm at Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel Street, Avenel.  Cremation will be private.

The Visiting hour will begin at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 20, 2023 and conclude with the prayer service at 5:30 pm.
