Stanley J. Szymanik, Jr. passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2016. He was 32 years old.
Born in Edison, he was a lifelong resident of the Iselin section of Woodbridge Township.
He was employed as a sheet metal mechanic with Rimex Metals in Edison.
Stanley played baseball all through his youth, beginning with Woodbridge Little League All Stars and continuing through high school, where he made all county playing at Bishop Ahr High School; loved his Green Bay Packers, never missing a game; and enjoyed spending time with his dogs, Shadow and Jack.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Elizabeth Mercer and Thomas Llewellyn; his paternal grandparents, Jean and Joseph Szymanik; and an aunt, Kathy Moorhead.
Surviving are his mother, Deborah Llewellyn; his father, Stanley J. Szymanik, Sr.; his step mother, Diane Szymanik; sister, Trisha Szymanik; brothers, Anthony Ventura and his wife, Gina, and Mark Ventura and his wife, Miriam; a niece, Teresa Florentine; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, April 16, 2016 10:00 a.m. at the Costello-Greiner funeral Home ( www.costello-greiner.com ), 44 Green Street (at Barron Avenue) in Woodbridge . Cremation will be private. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The National Necrotizing Foundation, 2731 Porter S.W., Grand Rapids, MI 49509 In memory of Stanley's aunt, Kathy Moorhead.
