Sonia Kormondy passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. She was 90 years old.

Born on June 16, 1930 to the late Pauline and Michael Bartos in Keasbey, she has resided in Woodbridge for many years.

Mrs. Kormondy was employed as an assembler with RCA Corporation in Avenel.

She was a member of the John Calvin Hungarian Reformed Church of Woodbridge and belonged to the Ladies Guild at the church; and was a member of B.P.O.E. Elks Lodge 2030 in Keyport.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Frank J. Kormondy, Sr., in 1990; son, Frank J. Kormondy, Jr., in 1982; sisters, Nancy Bartos, Mary Gritz, Ann Papp and Dorothy Ivan; and brothers, Walter Bartos (killed in action in World War II), John Bartos (killed in action in World War II), Alex Bartos and Michael Bartos.

Surviving are her daughter, Sandy DiLeo, of Woodbridge; and grandson, Michael DiLeo.

Funeral services are private under the direction of Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge.
