Shirley M. McGuinness passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at her home in the Iselin section of Woodbridge Township. She was 86 years old.

Born on July 11, 1935 in Bloomfield to the late Esther and Raymond Hecker, she has resided in Iselin for 60 years.

She was a communicant of Saint Cecelia's Catholic Church in Iselin and belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2636 in Iselin.

She was predeceased by her husband, James F. McGuinness, in 1997.

Surviving are her children, James R. McGuinness and his wife, Tina, of Iselin, Susan Farley and her husband, Michael, of Iselin and Donna McGuinness of Iselin; and grandchildren, Ryan Farley and his wife, Kayle, Collin Farley and his wife, Becky, Thomas Farley (Ashley Batista) and Maura Farley.

A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at 11:15 a.m. at Saint Cecelia's Catholic Church, Iselin. Interment will follow in Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Funeral services are under the direction of Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge.

In lieu of flowers contributions to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org) in Mrs. McGuinness' memory would be greatly appreciated by her family.
