Scott Christopher Anthony Young, of Woodbridge, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. He was 65 years old.

Born in Morristown, NJ, Scott resided in Woodbridge for most of his life. Scott obtained his associate's degree in computer science from Middlesex County College and began his career at Bell Laboratories, later continuing his work as a computer programmer with Lucent Technologies for a total of 25 years before retiring. He later worked as a technology consultant. Scott was deeply intelligent and intuitive, with a genius mind. He had a lifelong interest in technology and took great pride in helping modernize his mother's home, always thinking ahead and looking toward the future.

Scott was a communicant of St. James Roman Catholic Church in Woodbridge.

He was predeceased by his father, Joseph F. Young, who passed away in 2002.

He is survived by his loving mother, Barbara Mazzuca Young; his lifelong partner, Helen Puszynski; his brothers, Eric S. Young and Joseph Peter Young, and Joseph's wife, Colleen; his brother of the heart, Doug Bobko; and his nieces, Brianna, Shannon, and Cassidy.

A prayer service will take place on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue in Woodbridge. Cremation will be private.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
