Sarah E.
Mullaney
February 6, 1930 — October 20, 2017
Sarah E. Mullaney passed away on Friday, October 20, 2017 at Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center in Edison. She was 87 years old.
Born in Kearny, she has resided in the Iselin section of Woodbridge Township for the past 57 years.
Mrs. Mullaney enjoyed a long career with the Perth Amboy NJ Unemployment Career Center Office.
She was a communicant of Saint Andrew Catholic Church in Avenel.
Mrs. Mullaney was predeceased by her husband, Robert D. Mullaney, in 1982; and by a son, Robert K. Mullaney, in 1994.
Surviving are her children, Kevin Mullaney of Iselin and Karen Del Fattore (Joe Thurston) of Colonia; and three grandchildren, Danielle (Joseph O'Brien), Christopher and Candace Del Fattore. Grandma Sarah was also blessed to have Elizabeth and Amanda in her life.
Sarah was an amazing grandmother who never missed a game her granddaughters cheered at or a race her grandson was in. She was fortunate to travel to many beautiful places from the Caribbean to Italy with her daughter Karen and her family. When not travelling she spent many weekends at the racetrack with her son, Kevin. In her younger years she spent many nights at the bowling alley and always bragged about her top game of 279. Her entire life she took pride in her appearance from her hair appointments to her blue eye shadow.
