Sanford Korenthal passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2020 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was 80 years old.

He was born in New York City and raised in Bayonne. He resided in Florida for many years before moving to Woodbridge 10 years ago.

Mr. Korenthal was employed for many years as a customer service representative in the debt collection industry.

He was a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

Mr. Korenthal was an avid bowler and was in many leagues while he lived in Florida and then, there were the horses. He loved watching them race and would twitch and rock back and forth hoping that one of the horses he picked made it across the finish line first! He was also an avid fan of the WWE as well as the Mets, Giants, sometimes Jets, Knicks and Rangers!

Surviving are his son and daughter in law, Barry and Linda Ruck, of Woodbridge; and his beloved grandson, Josh and his four legged pal, Sadie Mae.

Funeral services were private under the direction of Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, Woodbridge.
