Sandra G Zalasar passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at Southern Ocean Medical Center in Manahawkin. She was 63 years old.

Born on May 9, 1960 in Elizabeth to the late James and Elaine Sergeant Rathburn, she resided in Woodbridge Township most of her life before moving to the Tuckerton section of Little Egg Harbor Township 2 years ago.

Mrs. Zalasar was a 1978 graduate of Colonia High School and was employed at Shop-Rite of Woodbridge in the Deli Department before becoming a Lunch Aide at The George J. Mitchell Elementary School in Tuckerton 1 year ago.

She was a communicant of Saint Andrew Catholic Church in Avenel.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Richard Rathburn.

Surviving are her husband of 40 years Brian Zalasar; her children Brian Jr and his wife Val, Keith and his wife Lauren, Tiffany Masters and her husband James, Cody and Matthew; her sister Tania Gruttemeyer; her brother-in-law, Dorian Zalasar; 8 grandchildren, Kinsley, Oaklyn, Ava, Keith Jr, Vincent, James, Amelia and Millie; and sister in law, Lisa Zalasar.

Funeral services for all family and friends to attend will take place on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at 8:45 a.m. from Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at 9:30 a.m. at Saint Andrew Catholic Church, Avenel. Interment will be in Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation for all family and friends will be on Monday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the POPCORN ZOO 1 Humane Way, Forked River, NJ 09731 in Mrs. Zalasar's memory would be greatly appreciated by her family.
