Samuel Petrone passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was 91 years old.

Born in Newark, he has resided in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township since 1957.

Mr. Petrone was employed as a platform worker with Treadways Trucking in Hightstwon for 40 years before retiring in 1987.

He was predeceased by his wife, Eleanor Francis Petrone, in 1987; and a brother, Louis Petrone.

Surviving is his daughter, Debbie Petrone, of Avenel.

Funeral services will take place on Monday, March 27, 2017 at 9:15 a.m. at Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. Interment will follow in Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
