Salvatore Lentini passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at his home in Cranbury. He was 84 years old. Born in Jersey City, he resided in Woodbridge and New Port Richey, FL before moving to Cranbury last year. Mr. Lentini was employed as a letter carrier with the United States Postal Service in Jersey City for 38 years before his retirement in 1990 and was a United States Army veteran of World War II. He was predeceased by a sister, Jenny Lombardo. Mr. Lentini is survived by his wife of 60 years, Antoinette Lemme Lentini; a daughter, Mariann Raite and her husband, Alan, of Sewaren; three sons, John Lentini and his wife, Cheryl, of Springfield Township, Joseph Lentini and his wife, Colleen, of Hazlet and James Lentini of Cranbury; a brother, Peter Lentini, of Hasbrouck Heights; eight grandchildren, Heather Hall, Jessica, Anthony and Nicole Lentini, Alfred, Annmarie and Nicholas Raite and James Mazzio; and three great grandchildren, Jaxon, Dominic and Gianna. Funeral services will be on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at 9:15 a.m. from the Costello-Greiner Funeral Home (costello-greiner.com), 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. A Mass of Resurrection will follow at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Port Reading. Entombment will be in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Woodbridge. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 7 until 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
