Ruth Conway Brown passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center in Edison. She was 94 years old.

Born in Staten Island, NY, she resided in Elizabeth before moving to the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township 59 years ago.

Mrs. Brown was a communicant of Saint Andrew Catholic Church in Avenel and a devoted catholic who was dedicated to supporting many catholic charitable organizations.

She was predeceased by her husband, Charles A. Brown, in 2004; son, Timothy V. Brown, in 1990; parents James and Elizabeth Gibbons Conway; sisters Dorothy Colonna and Mildred Finn; and brothers, James, Joseph, Thomas, Michael and George Conway.

Surviving are her sons, James C. Brown and his wife, Valerie, of Toms River, Daniel H. Brown and his wife, Janice, of Carteret and Charles Brown, Jr. of Avenel; sisters, Margaret Breuer of Florida and Josephine Doherty of Holmdel; grandchildren, Michael Brown and his wife, Samantha, Robert Brown and his wife, Jessica, and Hollie Brown and her fiancè Anton Ericsson; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 8:45 a.m. from Costello-Koyen Funeral Home ( www.costello-koyen.com ), 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. A Mass of Resurrection will follow at 9:30 a.m. at Saint Andrew Catholic Church, Avenel. Interment will be in Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation for family and friends will be on Friday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
