Rudolph F. Sanday passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at his home in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township. He was 69 years old.

Born in New York City on September 17, 1953 to the late Frances and Rudolph J. Sanday, he resided there before moving to Avenel 9 years ago.

Mr. Sanday was employed as word processor with the law firm of Jones Day in New York City for many years prior to retiring several years ago.

He will always be remembered for his love of music. Rudy was a talented guitarist that enjoyed writing, playing and recording his own music as well as listening to the music of others, especially The Beatles. He also cherished spending time in his garden.

In addition to his parents he is predeceased by a brother, John Arthur Sanday.

Surviving are his wife of 9 years, Sandra C. Reyes; daughters, Lisberth Pierce of Chicago, IL and Lindsay Martens of Port Washington, WI; sister, Lorraine Sanday-Newhaus, of Chandler, AZ; and grandchildren, Emily Pierce and Isabel Martens.

Funeral services will take place on Monday, March 13, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. from Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. A Mass of Resurrection will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Andrew Catholic Church, Avenel. Cremation will be private. Visitation for family and friends will be on Sunday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and on Monday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Cancer Society (cancer.org) Rudy's memory would be greatly appreciated by his family.
