Rosemarie Charney passed away on Saturday June 15, 2024 at her home in San Ramon, California.

Born in New York on November 19, 1946 she resided in Hazlet, New Jersey and Marietta, Georgia before moving to San Ramon 10 years ago.

She enjoyed word puzzles and sudoku as well as sitting in her yard watching hummingbirds and butterflies.

Rosemarie was predeceased by her mother, Mary Mazzarella, in 2005; sister, Frances Vaselovic, in 2021; brother, Patrick Agugliaro, in 2022; and nephew, Jim Vaselovic, in 2021.

Surviving are her husband of over 40 years, David Charney; children, Dina Heym of Powder Springs, Georgia, Christopher Heym and his wife Diane of Powder Springs, Georgia; granddaughter, Sophia Heym, who she adored; siblings, Lucille Haley and Gary Piscopo of Avenel, Anthony John Mazzarella and his wife, Valerie, of New Egypt and Andrew Mazzarella of Avenel; and many loving nieces and nephews, cousins, other extended family members and friends.

A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday July 19, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Andrew Catholic Church in Avenel. Inurnment will follow at Saint Gertrude Cemetery Mausoleum in Colonia. Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday July 18, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Costello-Koyen Funeral Home 399 Avenel Street, Avenel, NJ 07001.

In lieu of flowers contributions to the V Foundation for Cancer Research in Rosemarie's memory would be greatly appreciated by her family.
