Rose (Ro Ro) Pacelli
Rose (nee Sabia) Pacelli of Avenel, New Jersey passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 29, 2022 with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Donardo (Dan) Pacelli; her parents Michael and Erminia (Nee Nigro) Sabia; her sisters Anna Marie (Mary) Foreman, Alfonsina (Flo) Alcamo, and brothers, Joseph Sabia, and Anthony (Ba Ba) Sabia. Rose is survived by her children Kimberly Pacelli of Avenel, and Daniel Pacelli and his wife, Aileen, of Colonia; her brothers Carmine and his wife, Patricia of Point Pleasant and Michael Sabia and his wife Joan; her grandsons, Nicholas and Sean Pacelli; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Rose was born in Elizabeth, NJ in 1933. During her younger days, she worked in retail sales for Virginia Dare, as well as for Bob and Betty's, in Elizabeth. As a young woman, she met the love of her life, Donardo in Elizabeth. Their love grew into 52 years of marriage. She was a loving, kind and generous wife, mother and grandmother, who always put her family first. In addition to her caring for her family, Rose worked as a light assembler for Revlon in Edison for over ten years.
Rose was an avid fan of Baseball, especially the New York Yankees and Professional Wrestling. She also enjoyed Atlantic City, Lottery Scratch Off Tickets, and Outdoor Concerts.
In her later years, she was an active shopper and enjoyed going out to the mall with her friend, Edna Sandaal.
More than anything, Rose will always be remembered as a sweet woman. Many family members, friends and neighbors have fond memories of her sending gifts and cards to them, or even when she sang "Happy Birthday" over the telephone to them. She will be missed terribly by her family and all of those who knew her. She lived a good, simple and admirably life. Her legacy of giving was her eternal gift.
The family would be grateful for flowers or donations to St. Jude's Children Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
