Obituary

Rose Muccilli passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at her home in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township. She was 98 years old.

Born in Elizabeth, she has resided in Avenel since 1952.

Mrs. Muccilli worked as a payroll clerk at the Raritan Arsenal in Edison for several years before becoming a librarian at the Avenel branch of the Woodbridge Library for many years.

Rose will be remembered by all those who knew and loved her as an avid reader. She encouraged and shared her love of reading with family and friends. You could always find her in a cozy corner reading her favorite book.

She was a communicant of Saint Andrew Catholic Church in Avenel and a member of the Altar-Rosary Society.

Mrs. Muccilli was predeceased by her husband, Carmine Philip Muccilli, in 2006; son and daughter in law, Larry and Cindy Muccilli; sister, Filomena Mercadante; and brother, James Ninivaggi.

Surviving are her son, Philip A. Muccilli, of Edison; sister, Maryann Intartaglio, of Cranford; grandchildren, Gregory Muccilli of Guilford, CT, Jenna Muccilli of Guilford, CT and Jeffrey and Rebecca Muccilli of Medford, MA; great grandson, Gabriel Muccilli; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated for Rose on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Andrew Catholic Church, Avenel under the direction of Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, Avenel. Entombment will follow at Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.

In lieu of flowers contributions to the Friends of the Libraries of Woodbridge Township, One George Frederick Plaza, Woodbridge, NJ 07095 in Rose's memory would be greatly appreciated by her family.
