Ronald Paul Strauss passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was 59 years old.

Born Jersey City, he was a lifelong resident of Woodbridge.

His career was as a commercial driver for 37 years the first twenty of which was for United Parcel Service in Manhattan, New York.

He was a longtime member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Woodbridge; avid basketball and NY Giant Football fan; and enjoyed spending time at the beach. He also loved reading, especially books on history or Sherlock Holmes mysteries.

Mr. Strauss was predeceased by his mother, Barbara Strauss, in 2010; brother, Stephen Strauss, in 2008; and great niece, Mia Anthony, in 2012.

Surviving are his son, Matthew Strauss and his wife, Jenny; father, Reinhold "Ron" Strauss, of Woodbridge; sisters, Susan Strauss-Rickwalder and her husband, Joseph, of Hopelawn and Carolyn (Strauss) Simione and her husband, Michael, of Point Pleasant; grandchildren, Christian and Dorian; niece, Maria Strauss, and her husband, Kris Anthony; nephews, Stephen Strauss, Andrew Southern and Benjamin Southern; and several great nephews and niece.

Funeral services will be on Monday, November 26, 2018 at 10:45 a.m. from Costello- Greiner Funeral Home (costello-greiner.com), 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue, Woodbridge. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, Woodbridge. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
