Ronald T.
Leminelle
June 14, 1935 — January 3, 2022
Woodbridge
Ronald T. Leminelle, Sr. passed away on Monday, January 3, 2022 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was 86½ years old.
Born in Jersey City on June 14, 1935 to the late John and Helen Mazure Leminelle, he has resided in Woodbridge for 44 years.
Mr. Leminelle was employed by PSE&G for 39 years before retiring as Utility Leader in 1997 and also was employed as a Delivery Driver for Royal Crown Lab of Carteret from 2000 to 2010. He also was a Communicant and Usher of Saint James Catholic Church in Woodbridge.
He was a United States Marine Corps Veteran and belonged to West Hudson Detachment 209 of the Marine Corps League in Kearny, the Disabled American Veterans and Lafayette Amvets Post 33 in Jersey City.
He babysat, along with his wife, their great granddaughter Dallas Coutinho from the time she was 4 months old. He enjoyed spending quality time with her and watching her grow. Dallas and her "Pop" had many fond memories of eating their favorite foods together such as Gerber Crunchies and M&M's, to watching Sesame Street with the Furry Monster known as Elmo or "Mo", and him even letting Dallas give him a haircut at times. He loved his Dallas, also known as "Pop's Girl" and she reciprocated the same love and looked forward to their new adventures they would take on every day together. Five years after Dallas was born, "Pop" was blessed with another great-grandchild. His great grandson, Arlington Coutinho was born on Christmas Day and mimicked the same features of himself. Arlington has "Pop's" smile and his mannerisms, and his memory will live on through Arlington daily. He loved to watch the interaction between Dallas and Arlington and gave them lots of love. "Pop" adored both of his great-grandchildren and looked forward to seeing them grow. The bond between "Pop" and his great-grandchildren was something truly special that will be cherished forever.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Leminelle is predeceased by his sister, Adelaide Cioffi; and brother, John Leminelle.
