Robert J. Wilson passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at his home in the Hopelawn section of Woodbridge Township. He was 62 years old.

Born in Jersey City, he resided in Secaucus before moving to Hopelawn 27 years ago.

Mr. Wilson was employed by Shop-Rite of Linden for several years until 2007; and had previously worked at Shop-Rite of Perth Amboy.

He was a communicant of Good Shepherd Parish in Hopelawn; enjoyed fishing, playing cards, listening to rock and roll music and hanging with friends, especially his grand-dog, Harvey; and was a proud longtime NY Giant football fan.

Mr. Wilson was predeceased by his father, John C. Wilson.

Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Cynthia Roginski Wilson; his children, Kate and Alex Wilson, both of Hopelawn; his mother, Alice Wilson, of Secaucus; sisters, Sharon Voli, Susan Williams and Laurie Pein, all of Secaucus; and brothers, John A. Wilson of Bayville and Steven Wilson of Ridgefield Park.

Funeral services will be on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 8:45 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. A Mass of Resurrection will follow at 9:30 a.m. at Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hopelawn. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4:00 until and 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to Saint James Childcare Center, 148 Grenville Street, Woodbridge, NJ 07095 in Mr. Wilson's memory would be greatly appreciated by his family.
