Robert Edward Tyler passed away on Friday, May 15, 2020 at Brother Bonaventure Care Center in Elizabeth. He was 86 years old.

He was born in Newark and resided in Irvington before moving to Woodbridge in 1966.

Mr. Tyler was employed for many years as a boiler operator with the Woodbridge Township Housing Authority.

He was a United States Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict.

Mr. Tyler was predeceased by his wife, Elese Gobie Tyler, in 2014; and sons, Steven S. Tyler in 2010 and Wade Tyler in 2015.

Surviving is his step daughter, Cathleen Berg, of Suquamish, WA.

Funeral services were private under the direction of Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue, Woodbridge.
