Robert J. Slane passed away on Thursday April 13, 2023 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was 76 years old.

Born in Hoboken on May 17, 1946 to the late Catherine and James Slane, he has resided in the Iselin section of Woodbridge Township since 1972.

He was a United State Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War.

Mr. Slane was employed by Dean Witter for 40 years before retiring as Vice President in 2000.

Bob was happiest when spending time with his family and spending his weekends at his home in Surf City on Long Beach Island.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Martin Slane.

Surviving are his loving wife of 56 years, Barbara Siriani Slane; daughters, Lisa Slane of Bronx, NY and Wendy Williams and her husband, Nicholas, of Colonia; a brother, Donald Slane, of Woodland Park; and grandchildren, Mark and Luke Barranger and Mackenzie and Morgan Williams.

A Prayer service will take place Tuesday, April 18, 2023 6:45 p.m. at Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel Street, Avenel.  The visiting hours will begin at 3:00 p.m.
