Robert Eric Pohle passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2022 at his home in the Iselin section of Woodbridge Township. He was 82 years old.

Born in Passaic on September 2, 1940 to the late Louise and Eric Pohle, he resided in Colts Neck before moving to Iselin 8 years ago.

A 1958 graduate of Clifton High School, Mr. Pohle owned and operated Rep Distributing, a wholesale motorcycle accessory business, in Middlesex before his retirement.

Bob enlisted in the United States Army in 1959 and was a Paratrooper with the 101 ^st Airborne, Screaming Eagles Division until his discharge in January of 1961.

He enjoyed playing billiards and taking his chances wagering on horse racing.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Pohle was predeceased by his wife, Susan Jane True Pohle, in 2004; and daughter, Jessica Pohle.

Surviving are his brothers in law, Michael Christopher True of Cedar Knolls, Thomas Martin True of Bedminster and John True of Mendham.

A memorial service will take place on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at 5:30 p.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. Visitation for family and friends will also be on Thursday beginning at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers contributions to the American Cancer Society (cancer.org) in Mr. Pohle's memory would be greatly appreciated by his family.
