Robert T. O'Brien, Jr. passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2020. He was 53 years old.

He was born in Jersey City and resided Port Reading before moving to Woodbridge in 2007.

Mr. O'Brien has been employed as an accountant with Garden State Engineer and Equipment in Somerville for the past 23 years.

He was a communicant of Saint James Catholic Church in Woodbridge. Robert was a graduate of Woodbridge High School, where he played on the football team; and was an avid sports fan, especially of the NY Giants and NJ Devils.

Mr. O'Brien was predeceased by his parents, Rosalind and Robert T. O'Brien, Sr.

Surviving are his wife of 14 years, Michelle Moroney O'Brien; daughter, Caitlin O'Brien; sister, Marirose Albanese and her husband, Richard, of Washington Township; mother and father in law, Lavaughn and Joseph Moroney, of Monroe Township; brothers and sisters in law, Michael and Maryanne Moroney, Kevin and Donna Moroney and John and Kathleen Towle; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, including Rosanne Hansen of West Caldwell.

Private funeral services were held under the direction of Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, Woodbridge.
