Robert S. Nagy passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Venetian Care and Rehabilitation Center in South Amboy. He was 80 years old.

Born in Perth Amboy, he resided in the Sewaren section of Woodbridge Township before moving to Hudson, FL 15 years ago.

Mr. Nagy was employed as a foreman with US Metals Refining Company in Carteret for 28 years and then worked with Local 72 of the Laborers Union in Hopelawn before his retirement in 1999.

He was a United States Navy veteran; former communicant of Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Port Reading; and past Grand Knight at Don Bosco Council 5089, Knights of Columbus, Port Reading.

Mr. Nagy was predeceased by his wife, Barbara Nemeth Nagy, in 2011.

Surviving are his children, Cynthia Hahn of Carteret and Robert S. Nagy of Sewaren; and three grandsons, Matthew, Ryan and Justin Hahn.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Friday, December 29, 2017 beginning at 5:00 p.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home (costello-greiner.com), 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. Funeral services will be at 7:30 p.m. Cremation will be private.
