Robert R. Matzura passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was 88 years old.

Born on March 26, 1933 in Shamokin, PA to the late Mary and Joseph Matzura, he has resided in the Iselin section of Woodbridge Township since 1960.

Mr. Matzura was employed as a paint sprayer with General Motors Corporation in Linden for over 30 years before retiring in 1996; with a secondary job as a carpenter.

He was a communicant of Saint Andrew Catholic Church in Avenel; a United States Army veteran; and belonged to United Auto Workers Local 595 in Linden and Avenel Memorial Post 7164, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Avenel.

Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Dolores Robel Matzura; daughters, Patty Sadler and her husband, Kevin, of Colonia and Theresa Quinn and her husband, Kevin, of Somerset; and sister, Catherine Cashmareck of Rehoboth Beach, DE.

Friends and relatives are invited to pay their respects on Thursday, March 17, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Costello-Koyen Funeral Home (costello-koyen.com), 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. Funeral services will take place on Friday, March 18, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home, a Mass of Resurrection will follow at 9:30 a.m. at Saint Andrew Catholic Church, Avenel. Entombment will be in Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
