Robert J. Kruszka of Woodbridge passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at JFK Medical Center. He was 80 years old. Born in Ashland, PA, he resided in Newark before moving to Woodbridge 32 years ago. Mr. Kruszka was a United States Army Veteran serving in the Korean War; and was employed as a Lineman for Butler Aviation in Newark for 31 years, retiring in 1992. He was a past Grand Knight of The Lyndhurst Knights of Columbus Council #2396. Mr. Kruszka was predeceased by his parents, John and Josephine Kruszka; and three sisters, Antoinette Goglia, Eleanor Schwartz and Margaret Korocey. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Katherine Marinelli Kruszka; two sons, John Kruszka and his wife, Amber, of Woodbridge and Joseph Kruszka and his wife, Regina, of South Carolina; a brother John Kruski of Chatham; and four grandchildren, Thomas, Jack, Nicholas and Jared. A funeral service will take place on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue, Woodbridge. Cremation will be private. Visiting hours will be on Sunday from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
